Sydney Commercial Kitchens proudly Supports The Fred Hollows Foundation
Help share Fred's vision
Did you know that every 5 seconds one person in our world goes blind - yet 80% of the world's blindness is avoidable!
Sydney Commercial Kitchens believes in being socially responsible. As part of that commitment, $3.00 from every sale will be donated to help The Fred Hollows Foundation in its quest to treat and prevent avoidable blindness.
We would like to thank all our customers for your support
We received a letter from Gabi Hollows dated 8 August 2016, stating that we have now contributed over $35,500 since we started in 2004.
We now contribute $3 from every sale at SCK.
$35,500 equates to over 1420 eye operations or perhaps 1420 people who can now see following their operation to remove avoidable blindness such as cataracts.
“Every eye is an eye. When you are doing the surgery there, that is just as important as if you were doing eye surgery on the prime minister or the king.”

Fred Hollows, was an internationally renowned eye surgeon and humanitarian. Fred didn’t believe in charity, he firmly believed in teaching, supporting and empowering people to help themselves. He worked tirelessly to end avoidable blindness in Indigenous Australia and around the world – and while it didn’t happen in his time, it will in ours.
You can help Fred Hollows Foundation to do more...
Many people stay needlessly blind because they live in poverty. In developing countries, blindness denies people education, independence and the ability to work - things which can break the poverty cycle. But all this can be changed with as little as $25.
See the power of your donation:
We see a world in which no person is needlessly blind and Indigenous Australians exercise their right to good health.
In 2013 The Fred Hollows Foundation was recognised by The Global Journal as number 43 in the Top 100 NGOs in the world.
