The JobKeeper Payment

You have already probably registered for your team and yourself to receive the Jobkeeper allowance, so what is next?

Pay the minimum $1,500 to each eligible employee per JobKeeper fortnight. The first fortnight starts on 30 March and ends on 12 April. Alternatively, you can make one combined payment of $3,000 for the first two fortnights paid by the end of April 2020.

Enrol for JobKeeper from 20 April using the Business Portal and authenticate with myGovID.

Boosting cash flow for employers

Legislation has passed to provide temporary cash flow support to small and medium businesses

Eligible businesses and not-for-profit (NFP) organisations will receive between $20,000 to $100,000 in cash flow boost amounts by lodging all their activity statements up to the month or quarter of September 2020.

For most businesses, the cash flow boost will automatically be credited to your account when you lodge your activity statement. The first credit will occur on or after 28 April 2020. Even if you lodge before 28 April 2020, you will not be credited with the cash flow boost before this date.
