Fagor Ex Showroom Stock Sale

Gilkatho have released their coffee price index for 2012 which reveals the average prices we are paying across Australia for a humble cup of cappucino.

The index also shows that the actual cost of coffee has little bearing on the price in a cafe.  The cost of coffee is actually decreasing globally, and the cost of a takeaway coffee in Australia is rising.

Perth $3.87
Brisbane $3.47
Adelaide $3.44
Canberra $3.38
Melbourne $3.36
Sydney $3.28

Melbourne had the highest price rise over the year at $0.18 per cup, followed by Sydney & Perth at $0.17.

Perth continues to lead the pack with the most expensive coffee and I recently saw a facebook post showing a cafe in Scarborough charging $7.25 for a mug of coffee. Yikes!

Sometimes it is good to live in Sydney.
