How the Fat Duck made dining an unforgettable experience
I have always enjoyed watching Heston Blumenthal on TV & his amazing team at the Fat Duck create his gastronomical works of art.
Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck restaurant, Bray in the village of Berkshire.
When you look at the Fat Duck from outside, it just looks like an old pub. But with all things Heston does, looks can be deceiving.
Just looking at his website //www.thefatduck.co.uk/ takes you on magical journey. As you move the magnifying glass the map changes.
I just looked at his website and they are just starting to take booking for August 2016
Seventeen course Menu in a 5 hour food fantasy journey which cost £255 which is $512.61 Aussie dollars. So let's say it's going to cost at least $1,200 because you would not be going to the Fat Duck by yourself & I'm guessing you'd have a drink or two.
If that sounds expensive, consider there are 70 staff for 30 covers. You will Experience Heston's imaginative food journey, where Fact & Fiction blur.
“Going to The Fat Duck is an experience. And for something that takes five hours or more, it compares well on a per-minute price to, say, a good seat to see Arsenal play. Plus, you get a meal thrown in. And what a meal it is.” Xanthe Clay - Food editor Telegraph UK - //www.telegraph.co.uk/food-and-drink/restaurants/the-fat-duck-first-taste-of-the-new-menu//
As this experience would be out reach for most people, I thought it would interesting to share the dinning experience at eating at the Fat Duck.
Then watching some of their chefs describing how they create the food masterpieces.
Sit back and be inspired!
The Fat Duck Experience
Renowned to be one of the most challenging restaurant to get a reservation in the world. I am now one happy lady to check it off my bucket list.
Impeccable service, every dish was well executed and several highlights that brought a big wide smile from my heart.
