Businesses get rebate to fit safety switches
BUSINESSES will be forced to install safety switches to prevent electrocutions, bringing NSW into line with all other states where the switches are already mandatory for commercial premises.
The program, to be announced today by Finance Minister Michael Daley, will be the only one in Australia to offer rebates of up to $500 for small business to install the life-saving devices.

Under a new business tax system to be revealed on Sunday, Australian small businesses will get some help on their taxes under the new plan, much of it related to getting tax breaks at a quicker rate than before.
Much of this is an attempt to simply the tax system so small businesses can focus more on running their businesses than dealing with a bunch of paperwork.
If that is true then it is definitely a step forward and will be welcomed throughout all industries.
