Restaurant and Catering Australia Guide to Food Safety and Hygiene

The latest new edition of the annual Restaurant and Catering Australia Guide to Food Safety and Hygiene has just be released.

Available at no charge to members of the restaurant and catering industry, the guide is a valuable tool to assist foodservice operators ensure they maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety procedures in their business.

It sets out clearly the correct and appropriate procedures that assist in good workplace hygiene, features handy advice for restaurant and cafe staff.

Restaurant and Catering Australia (R&CA) said the Guide is a practical health and food safety resource chart for the industry.

“The Restaurant & Catering Australia’s Guide to Food Safety & Hygiene provides managers and employees with up-to-date information and procedures on personal safety as well as correct workplace and food hygiene measures,” said R&CA CEO John Hart.

Also addressed in this year’s Guide is the topic of knives and sharps safety. Caterers, chefs and kitchen staff are provided with key procedures that can be implemented to reduce the risk of injuries such as lacerations and bruising.
